Dr. Robert Sterling Rehl worked as a dentist in Kentucky and Ohio prior to moving to Montana. His active duty service in the US Army Dental Corp took him to Afghanistan where he ran one of the nine dental clinics there. Dr. Rehl met his wife, Lynn, at Ohio State University. They share 24 years of marriage and have six sons and one daughter. Dr. Rehl enjoys watching their youngest four children navigate the Millpond Moto X track and the down-hill runs at Turner Mountain. He enjoys many of the outdoor opportunities Lincoln County affords including: fishing, shooting, hunting, water skiing, hiking and boating. Dr. Rehl enjoys showing his team and patients what is possible. He has post-graduate training in orthodontics, oral surgery and 3D-guided implant dentistry.
After an extended 5 year search for the best place to raise a family and practice dentistry, Dr. Rehl and his wife chose Libby. Many people still ask Dr. Rehl, “What brought you to Libby?” He always responds, “The people!” While serving on active duty with the US Army, Dr. Rehl made several “recon” trips to Libby with the specific purpose of evaluating the characteristics of this little town as a place to call his permanent home. He subscribed to local papers and followed the news cycle and events even while stationed in Afghanistan. He came to several community events during different months throughout several years. He even came to drive the back roads in the winter of 2013 to see how winter is handled by this little town. He found out that Libby has GRIT and that this little town doesn’t QUIT. It has many of the traditional values of the small town Dr. Rehl grew up in - a town where people have not forgotten how to help one another and lift where they stand.
